Our library serves as a repository for sources of information pertaining to Mauricetown, Haleyville, Port Norris, Buckshutem and the surrounding areas.  It includes family genealogies, maps, indentures and many other sources of local history.

Some of our finding aids include:

  • Haleyville Cemetary records
  • Downe Township Committee records
  • Craig's Books of Marriages
  • Dallas Lore Sharp books
  • Oyster Industry records
  • Pettit/Sutton family history in letters, photos and much more
  • Records of all New Jersey men in the Civil War
  • Civil War Biographies by Sara Robbins Hoffman

If you are interested in volunteering some time in our library, please contact us at one of the above numbers.   We are sure you will find it very rewarding to work in one of the several areas needing attention including photo albums, indentures, maps, pamphlet files and much more.
